June is kind of special around here. Even though the official Second Life Birthday isn’t until June 23rd, we like to start celebrating sooner rather than later!

We are cooking up a couple of fun shenanigans ourselves — the first of which will be the Second Life Official Music Fest Auditions — happening today at noon and tomorrow evening! In Second Life, the Silk Road Hunt will allow hunters to explore and find treasures from some 65+ merchants, This year's theme is XANADU, the poem by Coleridge. Event held June 1-30.

Gion Kobu Hanamachi

Gion Kobu Hamachi is a Japanese Edo period role play sim circa 1867. The sim is run by the geisha of Karyukai Okiya, Second Life's first geisha community. They provide live entertainment in the form of Japanese ozashiki or banquets, dance shows, and traditional seasonal festivals. The sim contains two tea houses, an indoor and outdoor theater, Shinto shrine, park lands, and an new art gallery.
