Am premium plus / paid in advance for a year.

When I try to create an experience, it says "Unable to create an experience: 403".

I did try contacting LL via live support, they turned it into a ticket so.. as much as I love 'em.. idk I was hoping for a fix faster than 934753879 months from now.

I think the problem is connected to the fact that I changed my name some months ago. Did the name change thing not just my inworld name. Here on the forums it still shows me as CarterWolff - not Ciaran Astral.

So maybe on the back-end, their system still has me down as Carterwolff - hence the 403 (not found) error when it tries to create an experience for me?

Anyone got any ideas? I have tried going to the RC sandboxes to see if it works there, it doesnt.

How do I get the forums (and maybe then the rest of the back-end) system to 'realise' that my name has changed?

So I was thinking of developing a new series of products focused around avatar interactivity both with the world and other avatars.

The system would by functionally similar to avsitter except it would run from a hud or worn item on an avatar instead of from rezzed furniture.

So I suppose a couple of things come to mind:

By default, when we create an Experience, it is land scope, but I know some creators have grid scope experiences - Is there a process for this and criteria that has to be met?

The system would have content that is 'general rated' in nature (such as games with attachments, think: tennis, volleyball, and also avatar interactions such as hug, hi5), but also optional content that is adult in nature (i.e. sex).
I don't want to use an adult rated experience because all the general content would not be available on land rated general (XP_ERROR_MATURITY_EXCEEDED)
Would LL find it acceptable to instead have the Experience be general rated, but only expose the adult content whilst on Adult/Moderate land?

	Hello,

2 Weeks ago I set up a new Experience for some fast teleports on my parcel. Everything worked well for 2 weeks.

Since yesterday 12pm - it is not working anymore and I do not know why. I tried 2 different viewers and 4 different Avatars. They just do not work anymore. No changes were made. I also deleted everything and set it up once more but not one is working anymore. What could be the issue here? Maybe the Sim itself needs a restart? (it is not mine). New Avatars also do not get the pop up to ask if they allow the Experience.

The Script itself shows now also a small yellow color box top right when opening it, not sure what this means. When compiling it new it shows green though. Plus i do not get any script errors, as said all worked perfectly until yesterday.

I have my normal teleporters but experience teleporter are so convenient and would like them to work again.

I own a small Shapes and Animations store and the quality of my ADs has always bothered me a lot...

Externally they look great and I use them on all my social media, but when I upload them to the world and add them to one of my Vendors I see a great loss of photo quality.

Ok, I know this is natural, but are there any procedures to have a smaller loss in quality of these photos without having to subscribe to Premium Plus?

	Please advise..

After a Linden Sim Restart just 2 days ago... the default collision sounds (heard when jumping and landing on objects, also colliding with other avatars) can be heard throughout the entire region, when this was not the case before.

I don't think it's related to an object with a collision start script to trigger the sound, because it's happening even when 2 avatars bump into eachother.

There are a few sounds I can now hear:

	- thud

	- soft footsteps while walking some areas

PLEASE, anyone know how to turn this off? or get rid of all of these collision sounds region wide?

	Thanks!

NOTE: I'm familiar with the "debug settings" (Firestorm viewer only) to personally mute these sounds..but both my partner and I and friends can hear these sounds, which is new since 2 days ago. (Owned the sim for a few months now, never had this happen before).

Now that there's work underway at LL on making teleports work faster and more reliably, it's worth looking at experience teleport transport systems again.

Make it look like this before and after teleports (From this SL video on Reddit.)

	Here's the concept:

Avatar gets on a tram car and sits.

 Tram goes into tunnel.

Tram stops, and a moving wall effect like the one above starts to indicate motion. So you don't need much tunnel. Most existing subway stations in SL would work.

The avatar is teleported via an experience to a freshly rezzed identical tram car elsewhere, and seated in the matching seat to the one they were in. It's a teleport, but it doesn't look like one.

 More moving wall effect.

Tram comes out of tunnel at station. (Or maybe goes onto SLRR track or a road trip like YavaPods.)

This is intended for short tours. When you get there, you get a tour of some interesting place in SL, and if you don't get off, you eventually ride back to your starting point. New user entry points might have a few of these, to show off parts of SL in a somewhat controlled way. An audio track of a tour guide might help. (Playing the theme from "It's a Small World" is tempting but has copyright problems.)

SL already has Portal Park, and Firestorm's help island has a ring of portals, but they're not used much. Also, those are one-way - it's not obvious to new users how to get back. WelcomeHub has no obvious way out. There's a little train station at the south end of the Linden Homes area, and a long rail bridge to Bellessaria, but you have to rez your own train. There's some signage which suggests looking at the Destination Guide. But nothing like an organized tour, with a stated duration. The only way out is a teleport into the huge, cold, hard world.

SL, as anyone who talks to new users knows, has a big "what do I do now" problem. (The other classic new user question is "how do I fix this %#^&! clothing problem?") This is a way to provide new users a safe introduction to SL beyond the WelcomeHub. It's a theme park ride. New users will get that immediately.

	Hi all,

I'm facing this awkward problem. I've created a golf hud. Part of the hud is a launcher, that carries a golf ball, that carries a ball marker. All these items are stacked like a matroyshka doll into eachother. The hud works perfectly, on me! When I give it to somebody else however they are faced with the fact that my permissions are still valid (cam permission, animation permission, general llGetOwner() permission). Each item (laucher, ball, marker) contains at least two scripts and I can never be sure which script is working right. Of course I added on_change events in all scripts but still either the change is too slow or it's not working at all. A golfball for instance is only rezzed during the launch and roll, for each new lauch a new golfball is rezzed. My question is: Does anybody know how to make a matroyshka doll like this clean of prior permissions? I think I've tried everything in the book, but I clearly need another book.

Hello, I'm creating a system that will allow avatars to complete quests in my parcel to earn xp, and I'm using key value pairs to track how much xp they've received so far. Currently the setup attaches a HUD to the avatar (once the experience is allowed) and the HUD then checks the experience to see how much xp they have stored in the kvp and displays it. It's set up very simply, key = avUUID, value = amount of xp. A completed quest then causes the HUD to check the current xp, add the new xp to that number, then update the kvp with the new number.

I was wondering if the way experiences and updating kvps worked, whether or not it'd be better to have sort of a go-between server in the parcel that the HUDs communicate with to relay the update commands to the experience, instead of having each HUD directly send the command to update the kvps themselves? I don't know the finer details of updating the kvps and figured having just one script making the updates might be better than having say 5 HUDs sending the update kvp command at potentially the same time, which I thought might cause issues.

If you know of a best practice for this or a better way to do it I'd love to hear about it, thanks.

I doubt this is possible, but thought I would ask.

Use case: SL objects can become HTTP servers. SL objects can communicate with each other via HTTP. But the inbound URL for an object is randomly chosen by the system, and (probably) changes at region restarts. So there needs to be some well-known place where server URLs are stored. The recommended way is an external server outside SL.

With the new enhancements to experience key/value stores, is it now possible for instances of experiences in different locations (such as a network of teleporters) to find each other via a key/value store?

I thought this was a one-off glitch at first, but it's now happened four times.

Simple setup: An avatar (in this case my default test alt #2) that has already accepted the experience, is simply sat on an object by my script using llSitOnLink(). Mostly it works as expected. But then sometimes, this will happen:

I see the test alt sat where they should be.

The test alt (in their viewer instance) sees itself stuck at <0,0,0>, but playing the sit animation. This exact thing (with different seats - doesn't seem to matter where) has happened several times. This time I did more though, realising that there is a problem.

	My view:

	Test alt's view:

There is no RLV involved at this stage, or anything other than the llSitOnLink() and subsequent pickup by the AVsit script on the seat. It happens with other seats too, not just this one (my pillar of souls).

The alt cannot stand (there is no "stand" button), but can cam away and double-click TP back on my land.

Having just taken the above pictures and TP'd the alt back, I recaptued the alt on the same seat; the same thing happened again.

I moved the alt to another seat without unseating first (completely different linkset) and the alt moved to that seat in my viewer, but in the alt's viewer stayed sat on the pillar of souls (even though it was at <0,0,0> when it should have been there, as if it was a step behind things) but playing the animation for the new seat (and spinning around at a distance from the pillar of souls - it rotates).

	My view:

	Test alt's view:

At all times, both viewer instances were on-screen; not minimised because I know that causes them to not notice animation updates and the like. They were both 'live'.

Interestingly (maybe) is that if I give the alt access to the capture/seating menu to sit themselves, which is how I've done most of the testing up to now, the above doesn't seem to ever happen and everything goes according to plan. Thre is no difference in who causes the sit as far as the script with the llSitOnLink() command is concerned - all that gets is a message with the avatar key in regardless of which avatar is running the menu. The only difference is that it is done on the alt's own viewer, not my viewer.

And now, having brought in another alt for testing at the same time, everything is working as expected again even with me moving them around. Yet again, something that sometimes happens, and sometimes doesn't.

	Clearly... there are issues.

If anyone has any ideas, or has seen similar... please comment. If I can find a repro I'll start a Jira.

Edit: This is all in addition to the fact that I've had the seats telling me the alt was sat on them, in fact on two at the same time... when the alt wasn't even logged in.

Experimenting and just trying to see how things work, I bought a script from the marketplace that does a teleport on collision experience.

I configured the land, and found that the script works fine.

Frustrated that nothing I was doing was working, I copy/pasted the same script and attempted to use it in my own experience to troubleshoot.

With all things being equal, it doesn't work unless I use it with the original experience.

I am getting reacquainted with SL after a number of years absence. The Experiences option is a great new one to help a smooth out a lot of things. But how possible would it be to implement limiting scripts only made by a specific avatar/creator in an area. Basically it would be like no scripts now ... but with an exemption by creator. The idea is that this might make RPG and combat sims could be set to only their scripts they want to run will run and all others won't. So say if you are in a zombie sim only the weapons created by identified content creators would work. Alternatively some sort of keying system to achieve the same effect? It would help a lot limiting exploits which would ruin various experiences otherwise.

It seems we are still limited to one Experience per resident account. This is limiting if I want to have an isolated experience in a single region -- an experience named for something relevant to that region. I might also want an experience tied to objects I personally create. The two should not cohabitate a name, a maturity rating, or anything else. They are not the same thing.

So my question... is it on the roadmap for a Group to own an Experience rather than an individual resident?

Alternately, I guess it's been discussed for years now about allowing more than one per resident -- also fine if they'd ever do it.

	Please take a seat.

One annoyance reported by new users is going into a room and finding it full of avatars doing nothing who won't talk to you. I previously suggested a way to avoid Linden safe hubs becoming cluttered with lost bots and AFKs. Just get them to sit down. If an avatar doesn't move or type for a long time, sit them in a seat. That's makes it clear they're waiting, not participating. It's harmless.

So here's a demo, on one of my parcels. It's a simple experience script. Get within 20m of the bench, do nothing for 30 seconds, and you'll get an experience popup. If you allow it, it sits you on the bench. That's all. It won't eject an avatar. It's a light touch solution to the problem.

This is most useful in places which already have an experience enabled, which Linden safe hubs do. At a hub, one would use a much longer timer, maybe an hour. 30 seconds is just for this proof of concept demo.

Try the demo at http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Vallone/175/16/36 and comment, please.

I have a train system on my parcel and I'd love to be able to have the ability to, say, announce the next station coming up as the train is leaving. Is there an experience that puts gives a text prompt?

The train IS an SL vehicle. Do experiences work when someone seated in an SL vehicle passes through an object with an experience in it?

I acquired my Experience, what now?

So I'm looking to set up Experiences on a parcel that I own...

Only I really have absolutely no idea how to do it or what I'm doing..

	I've read this: https://community.secondlife.com/knowledgebase/english/experiences-in-second-life-r1365/

	I've read this: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Category:Experience_Tools

So what do I do now?

How do I make my Experience attach a hud to someone?

Where do I get the hud from and how do I make it do what I want it to do?

How do I make the experience animate their AV, or tell them to touch an object...

or say I want them to step onto an invisible prim and have it automatically animate or pose their AV in a certain way (considering they click to accept when it asks them permission to animate or pose them), can Experiences do that?

I'm presuming there are special scripts somewhere that I can just use, to do these things? I sorta hoped that was what that second link was going to be, a library of scripts to use that I could just.. copy and paste... but it wasnt that at all.

I haven't really got my parcel set up just right yet for the Experience, because I don't really know what I'm doing, with the Experience.. I was hoping for a library of pre-made Experience scripts that I could just copy/paste to experiment with, and see what they do and then redesign my Parcel around it all...

I'm pretty sure I want people to arrive at a set landing point ( which I have ) and from there be introduced to the Experience, maybe have a HUD that attaches to them and from there have a couple doorways or portals that lead to other locations on the parcel, that they just a walk into, and whoosh, they're at the other location. Or maybe have them be required to solve small puzzle or recite a specific phrase in local, to be able to access/use a portal.. or make the portal appear to them when they recite the phrase in local chat. Can the Experience tell them whether or not I am online? Can it tell them if anyone else is online, like say I have a friend assisting me with things on that parcel, can it tell them if that friend is online? I know there are scripted online indicators, but can I have them, for example, touch an object or recite a phrase in local chat, and the experience inform them something like.. "this person is not available to respond at this time" ... Can the Experience be used to detect their Avatar presence at a specific location, or standing on a specific prim.. and the Experience make a temporary object be made visible to them, to interact with .. and then remove/delete that object when they are no longer within that immediate vicinity? Can I have it make a temporary portal be made visible, for them to use, then remove/delete when they're gone to the new location?

I don't really know anything about scripting and have always just bought a script that does what I want...

So I really have no idea what I can or can not do with Experiences, other then I know it can attach a hud to you, and whisk you to other areas, as I've been to places that do that... and I have a pretty good idea that with Experiences, I can probably restructure my Parcel a bit to have fewer prims used, or at least I'm hoping too...
