How to fix my avatar whose body is below the floor?

Go back into Appearance and then to Edit Shape >>> Body.  Scroll down to the very last category, Hover, and play with the slider until your av is standing properly on the floor.  That will only work, of course, if you have Mod perms for the shape you are wearing.
