Please help me, this guy, (name removed), has been harrassing me and my bf on the forums, and more recently in the marketplace, for a bit, and I have reported him already, but I reported him about a month ago, yet he's still doing it

how do i get him to stop. because he is making me cry.

:'(

When I first read this, I thought I must be looking at the tongue-in-cheek posts we get most often on the "Missed Connections" sub-forum, but I see not.

Anyways, this guy - who, by the way, you shouldn't be naming here, as that is definitely against the Terms of Service - is actually a regular contributor here on the forums.  I doubt he is trolling you, but the absolute best way of dealing with a troll is to ignore them, then they go away.

First of all, remove his name from your post.  You are violating the Community Guidelines which state "If you have a personal disagreement, do not post about it on the Second Life community pages. Residents who have personal differences have other channels of communication available to them — private messaging in the forums, IM within Second Life, or chatting within Second Life."

Second, if you feel that someone has been violating the TOS, you may submit an AR.  It is up to Linden Lab to determine what to do, if anything.  According to the TOS (Sect. 6): "You are solely responsible for your interaction with other users of the Service, whether online or offline. We [Linden Lab] are not responsible or liable for the conduct or content of any user. We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to monitor or become involved in disputes between you and other users."  In practice, LL rarely gets involved in disputes between residents unless there is a TOS violation involved.

Third, you can always mute or simply ignore anyone in SL.

ETA: Fourth, be careful about making formal accusations to LL that arise from a personal dispute.  They have a way of backfiring as LL decides to see what's behind the dispute.
