I've never seen less effort made for a survey....and thats something, since we get washed away in a huge wave of surveys from students who can't do their homework right.

Val's right about the harsh answers, Sally. Particularly if there are typos in your questions. We can be real bears!

Val is right, but they will eat you alive in General Discussion if you come in with a wide open set of poorly framed questions.  Instead, you may want to dedicate a week or more to reading as many threads as possible on these forums to see what people talk about.  Sample several of the forums, and be sure to dig back in the archives. You'll find a lot of frivilous stuff, but you'll also find people making good philosophical observations about what they get out of SL, and about why they stay.  It will mean doing a lot more work than you planned, but you'll get a much better feel for why many of us chose SL than you'll get from your survey.  :smileywink:
