How do you give up premium land

To downgrade your premium or Concierge account to basic, follow these steps:

1. Log into the Second Life website.
2. On the lef side of the screen, select Premium Membership. 
3. The Change Membership Plan screen opens, displaying a chart of Membership plans and prices.
4. Select Basic Account.
5. Click Save Changes. Your new plan becomes effective at your next billing date.

Warning: If you downgrade to a basic account, you will lose all the land you own, and you will no longer have access to your weekly Linden dollar stipend or live chat support. Make sure to sell or abandon all your land before you downgrade! You may also wish to check your group land contributions and make arrangements to keep your group's land holdings in good standing.

If you are in a Linden Home, you cannot sell it, because you do not own it.  You'll gave to abandon it. Pick up all your stuff first.  Then stand in the parcel, open About Land, and click Abandon Land.  You can do that same trick anywhere else too.  If you actually own the land, you can put it up for sale instead, to try and recover some of your purchase price.
