Check the balance on your dashboard at secondlife.com >>> Account .  That's where your current balance is.  The number that appears on the top of your viewer screen can often be out of sync with the real balance, so don;t believe it.  You can sometimes force the viewer to re-sync with your dashboard by clicking on the L$ symbol (not the BUY L$ link) a few times.

When someone sends you money, it goes -- or should do -- straight to your account.   It's not like when someone sends you an object or a notecard that you can accept or decline.
