Take a look at www.shoutcast.com to id stations that are playing content you want to hear.

Then Lets say you want Nature Sounds...

Go to

http://www.shoutcast.com/radio/Nature

Pick any MP3** stream link and right-mouse click on it. Select the Save target as... ????.pls to your desktop. Open it with any text editor. Inside you will see something like the following:

[playlist] numberofentries=1 File1=http://88.80.200.195:8000 Title1=(#1 - 13/80) stream.silent.li organic relax radio: nature sounds Length1=-1 Version=2

The Land URLs is the http://....at File=1

In this example http://88.80.200.195:8000

Good Listening to you! "D

P.S. ** It's important that you pick a station broadcasting streaming MP3 because the FMOD service that comes with SL only recognizes and supports this method. :D

You can put the URL of any music stream or any media stream into the boxes in About Land (but note KarenMichelle's caveat about using MP3 formats only).

Also, there is a small possibility that the popular Shoutcast service (and the WinAmp media player), both provided by AOL, will no longer be offered.  AOL was going to drop them...but now it looks like Microsoft is going to buy both products, so that is much less likely to happen.  See this link for some news: http://techcrunch.com/2013/12/19/winamp-will-never-die/
