It is always good to copy something before you mod it in case something goes wrong.

Here how to adjust pose balls

1. Have one person sit on one pose ball
2. Right click the other ball and choose EDIT from the menu.
3. Check Edit Linked Parts then click the unoccupied ball so it is the only one selected..
4. Keep the object selected so you continue to see the arrows but sit on it as you normally would.
5. Move the ball using the arrows as needed to align the avatars as best you can. You may also rotate them for a better fit by holding down you ctrl key.  Usually you want the hips aligned but it can vary depending on the animation.  For a kiss it may be more important for lips to align.
6. Once you are satisfied with the result,  close the edit box and enjoy.
