I am not sure who you have been talking to. This is a forum for residents (users).

Linden Lab employees do not normally post here. If you have paid for a premium account you can use the Live Chat web site to contact Linden help. Even if you do not have a premium account you can still submit a support ticket to the Lindens.

I am just a resident, but I do have a few ideas:

Linden Lab support:    https://support.secondlife.com/?lang=en-US

Be sure your computer meets the minimum requirements to run a Second Life viewer: https://secondlife.com/my/support/system-requirements/index.php?    If it does not meet the requirements, consider using SLGo from OnLive. See this site for more information:    https://slgo.onlive.com/faq_devices     OnLive is a separate company that provides a cloud based viewer (a viewer that runs on their server and streams graphics to your device).

Be sure you have downloaded and installed the current viewer (either the official viewer or one of the approved 3rd party viewers.        http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/?lang=en-US      http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Third_Party_Viewer_Directory           Also see here how to do a clean install: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_clean_reinstall

Try logging into a different region. Try starting up the viewer to log into the region  Smith  (Use viewer preferences - general tab then check mark the 'Show Startup Location' -- you can activate this before you actually try to log in -- then type Smith in the start location box).

If you have an external firewall, such a router with an active firewall, see this page for more info:  http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Using-Second-Life-with-a-firewall/ta-p/1304539
