It should be automatic.

When you set up your payment info on your account and your membership payment plan, the system will automatically take the next payment...For example if you paid yearly it will take the next payment on the same day the following year, unless you choose to downgrade & cancel the plan.

Yes, it is automatic, as Peewee said.

I use to increase my credit a few days before, just to be shure that it is all fine and have some time in advance if I have a problem with my credit card, like it expired and I forgot to put the new one in place.

In fact, today I incresed my credit in US$ 72 because my premium will be renewed on march/28. All went fine, but if I had any problem I would have 2 weeks to fix it.
