Prinella
I was just wondering if there was more to the game than dancing in a night club. So far, that seems to be all the event guide is made up of.. 99 percent of the places on it are just dance clubs. I can only be entertained by a dancing pixel for so long. Tari Landar
In sl you ar eonly limited by your own imagination. Anything you think you'd like to do, or try, is probably available. While there may be thousands of dance clubs in sl, they certainly don't make up the whole of sl. If you're using only an event guide to find things to do, than you're only going to find EVENTS. Not everything(or even most things) in sl, are considered events. In sl you can find amusement parks, sports, movie theaters, places to explore, swimming, skiiing, scuba diving, parachuting, sms dedicated to building, sims dedicated to rl monuments and locations, planes, boats, vehicles of all kinds, roleplay sims, mini golf, surfing, bowling, arcades.....really, the possibilities are limitless and this is only a tiny spec of the things you can do in sl. Open search, type in something you enjoy, and then click on the various locations you find.
moirakathleen
Check out some of the building classes at Builder's Brewery. Caledon University has some beginning building classes also. I'm sure there are more places with classes, but those are the two locations I most often go to classes at. It's handy to have a basic understanding of how you can build, re-size, texture prims. The Ivory Tower of Primitives is a cool place also, with some basic tutorials, and there is the Particle Labratory as well. Check out some of the role-playing sims. Check out some of the themed sims - they usually have groups also, where you can meet others if it's a themed area that interests you. Use the destination guide to find interesting places to visit. There are some very beautiful and interesting sims out there to explore.

Profaitchikenz Haiku
Go gallivanting around the whole of SL Bring up the search floater, set it to places, pick a random word and type it in, then take one of the returned results and TP there. Explore for a bit, until something you see makes you think of a new random word. Type that into the search floater, and off you go again.

Well, there is your first problem.. SL isn't a game per say. It is a huge social platform where your only limits are your own imagination. The event guide is for event.. for clubs.. Try the destination guide instead.
sparkyabas
Make a prim coat and clipboard. Go around people's private homes, saying you're from the SL housing department, and demand to inspect their properties for fullbright prims. You won't just un-bore yourself with this RP but will probably bring a lot of joy to these residents too, through some much welcomed social interaction. Go to a race track and rez your comes-with-every-inventory go-kart. See if you can beat the people who spent LS$4000 on a Mesh racing car. They'll probably be amazed, and you'll make some new friends. Go to a horse auction. Push up bids for horses you don't want. Console yourself that you've made someone pay more than they would have normally for a breedable. You've just affected someone's life to the tune of $2 and changed the course of fate, well done. Make a NASCAR SUCKS tee and go for a dance at a C&W club. Texans think that's hilarious. Join a football team. Marvel as your football hud freezes your viewer, forcing you to reboot. Enjoy a 6-hour training session, consisting of a bunch of lagging residents arguing about who's best. Crash again when the cheerleaders start to TP in. Log back in and witness the cheerleaders arguing about who's best. 10 hours later, line up for the start of the game and crash.

Bobbie Faulds
Happy Hipster and Builder's Brewery have a variety of classes from beginner to advanced on many topics. Join those groups and see what they have to offer. On your dashboard, check education for other classes taught in SL. I agree that going to clubs gets boring fast so start learning how to manipulate your environment. Check out Bryn Oh's interactive art sim. Jumpman Lane
Well first thing. Put "no drama" in the About section of your profile. That inevitably stirs up drama in a few dAys lol. And DRAMA is NEVER boring
