0 Madelaine McMasters
Hi Acer, Is this something that started happening recently? Do you hear the fans spool up before the crash? Have you tried another viewer? One wild guess... Dust can compromise your iMac's cooling, causing the graphics processor (or CPU if you have integrated graphics) to overheat. Mac OS will first spool up the fans, then slow down the GPU clock in an attempt to maintain a safe operating temperature. If the GPU clock is slowed enough, SL will crash. Come back to your question and edit it (via "Options" over there on the right) to tell us more.
