Ok I keep getting updating friends list when I try to long in how do I fix that ?

It's been a few months since we saw a rash of these problems. Here's the JIRA in which the Lindens suggest filing a support case to get the problem resolved...

Select "Account Issue" from the first drop down.

Select "Second Life Viewer Login Issues" from the second drop down.

In the error message text box, tell them you're stuck at "updating friends list".
