That's interesting advice. There must be thousands and thousands of different HUDs in SL. Some are AOs, some control vehicles, some are texture changers or color changers for clothing, some control the weather (snow, fog, windlight effects .. ) on your region, .... If you can imagine a function that will benefit from personal control, someone has made a HUD for it. I''ve scripted dozens of them myself. If you have a HUD with a funky menu, it's almost certainly something peculiar about that specific HUD -- probably just your own copy of it, too -- not anything that's going to affect HUDs in general.
