Qie Niangao Posted May 12, 2016 Share Posted May 12, 2016 I somehow got the idea that voice morphing was free to Premium subscribers, so at some point I must have acquired some morphs. Since that time I haven't used it -- haven't actually used voice at all -- but today I got a notification that one or more of the morphs will expire soon, and offering a teleport to "Voice Island" where I'm offered morph rentals.Clearly this makes no difference to me personally, but out of idle curiousity: DId I just dream the whole thing about free morphs for Premium? (All on the supremely dubious premise that I might use it someday; I mean, to use a mic on my desktop I'd have to plug in a bluetooth dongle, futz with Windows settings, find an old headset somewhere in my desk drawer, and rediscover how to enable voice in SL, so... yeah, this is purely academic.) I vaguely remember, maybe, a test thing. Whatever it was, it's damned persistent about it will expire in less than 3 days. (Does anybody really pay for these things? As you mentioned, the morphs are part of the Premium Membership - but do require a re-subscription from time to time - like all voice morphs do. Premium members can take advantage of the perk by going to the Premium Perk - Voice Morphing Region (only Premium Members an access this region) when they expire and re-subscribing there. It sounds like that may not be clear from the notification you received - but if you wanted to use those morphs, you'd be able to re-sub at that Premium Perk region. Yeah, just for completeness: the notification provided a link to http://secondlife.com/landing/voicemorphing which points to the regular Voice Island, but not hint of the Premium gift location where I could re-up -- which I just did, to be sure it worked, and it did.
