Voice morphs free to Premium subscribers?

I somehow got the idea that voice morphing was free to Premium subscribers, so at some point I must have acquired some morphs. Since that time I haven't used it -- haven't actually used voice at all -- but today I got a notification that one or more of the morphs will expire soon, and offering a teleport to "Voice Island" where I'm offered morph rentals.

Clearly this makes no difference to me personally, but out of idle curiousity: DId I just dream the whole thing about free morphs for Premium?

Well, that's how it's behaving now, yeah, but I'm sure I would never have bothered with it if I didn't somehow have the idea that it was a Premium benefit.

(All on the supremely dubious premise that I might use it someday; I mean,  to use a mic on my desktop I'd have to plug in a bluetooth dongle, futz with Windows settings, find an old headset somewhere in my desk drawer, and rediscover how to enable voice in SL, so... yeah, this is purely academic.)

Now I wonder what I did to confuse it into wanting me to pay to re-up my morphonata. I vaguely remember, maybe, a test thing. Whatever it was, it's damned persistent about it will expire in less than 3 days.

(Does anybody really pay for these things? I mean, enough to justify whole islands dedicated to vendors of them?)

Hi Qie,

I checked with the team for some clarification on this. As you mentioned, the morphs are part of the Premium Membership - but do require a re-subscription from time to time - like all voice morphs do. Premium members can take advantage of the perk by going to the Premium Perk - Voice Morphing Region (only Premium Members an access this region) when they expire and re-subscribing there.

It sounds like that may not be clear from the notification you received   - but if you wanted to use those morphs, you'd be able to re-sub at that Premium Perk region.

I believe there may be some technical limitation to changing that notification text specific to that system - but I have passed your experience along to the product team just in case. Thanks for testing it out :)
