Yhishara Cerise
Hi. I am taking part in an event and I need to price some objects for sale. I did one and its done correctly. The next one I did though is a problem. If I click on it I can buy it for the right price of 250L but if I select pay then it reads as only 10L. The item is two linked prims. Ive repriced them both to read 250L but when I link them I still get the price of 10L. The object is for an upcoming charity fundraiser so its really important to have that 250L price as the only one showing up. Any idea how to fix this? Rolig Loon
The PAY option looks for a selection of price options that you have set in a script that you put in your object. If you don't have a script in it, the PAY menu will not be available. If you want to set a fixed price and not use a script, you don't want the PAY option at all. On the General page of your Editor, set your object for sale (check the box), give it a price (L$250), and then click Apply. Then use the drop-down "Click To:" menu to BUY. If you do that and do not have a script with a money event, the PAY option will never be available, and any clicks on the object will automatically open the BUY dialog box. Just being paranoid here: You're not trying to split receipts between the object owner and the charity, right? (If you were trying to do that, you'd use the scripted "Pay" option only -- no "Buy" price at all -- but there's a bit of scripting involved in that.)
