What you are seeing is called bake fail. It is almost always caused by a weak connection to the SL servers.

Remember. A good Internet connection does NOT mean you have a good connection to the SL servers. So, first step in solving this problem is to test your connection. Then move on to the troubleshooting steps in the Phoenix/Firestorm wiki.
