Yes, you can download older versions. The one previous to 2.6.2 (225998) is, I believe, 2.6.1 (225680).

You could also try the beta or a Third Party Viewer. Kirstens is close to Viewer 2, but is a bit resource intensive.

I tried to download that one as well, but the same message comes up. Is it possible to go back to 2.5?

You can certainly download it, but it may force an update.. in which case.. no.

Did you completely unistall the old version(s)? Including deleting client-created folders/directories? ETA: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_fully_uninstall_and_reinstall_Second_Life%3F

I agree with the 2nd Griffin lol....Completely uninstall & search for any stray folders and zap them too, then restart your computer and download a fresh copy.

Which browser do you use? If its Firefox, go to Tools > Downloads and see if you still have your download for 2.5 on the list. You will need to completely remove 2.6 before trying to instal 2.5.
