Griffin Ceawlin
Yes, you can download older versions. The one previous to 2.6.2 (225998) is, I believe, 2.6.1 (225680). You could also try the beta or a Third Party Viewer. Kirstens is close to Viewer 2, but is a bit resource intensive.
MariaTheresa Milneaux
I tried to download that one as well, but the same message comes up. Is it possible to go back to 2.5?
Griffin Ceawlin
You can certainly download it, but it may force an update.. in which case.. no. Installer Download links for all versions are on individual pages, linked at bottom of this page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Release_Notes

Griffin Ceawlin
Did you completely unistall the old version(s)? Including deleting client-created folders/directories? ETA: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_fully_uninstall_and_reinstall_Second_Life%3F Looking elsewhere in the forum, that, and installing to a different directory, seems to have resolved this issue for some people: http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Viewer-2-0-General/Getting-Many-Errors-Installing-Latest-Viewer-2-0-1-203797/m-p/177167#M9730 http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Second-Life-Viewer/Viewer-2-6-Installation-fails-Error-opening-dll-files/m-p/784699#M756
Peewee Musytari
I agree with the 2nd Griffin lol....Completely uninstall & search for any stray folders and zap them too, then restart your computer and download a fresh copy.
Peewee Musytari
Which browser do you use? If its Firefox, go to Tools > Downloads and see if you still have your download for 2.5 on the list. You will need to completely remove 2.6 before trying to instal 2.5.
