age verification

MasterSolomon1

Question

If you have access to Mature sims, your age verification has been successful.  When you write that you cannot opt in for adult' in the drop down, do you mean in Preferences > General > Rating box?  That is the only place in which you need to make sure you have picked PG, Mature and Adult.  In order to access Adult areas, you must be BOTH age-verified and account verified.

The information regarding this can be found here http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Age-verification/ta-p/700021

You probably got age-verified without providing information that would also account-verify you.  You must do both to access Adult areas.

Only a little detail: Residents 18 or older have access to Moderate (old Mature) regions without age verification, age verification is not needed for access to Moderate lands and searches ;)

If you did not already have mature as default, did you join SL when you were under 18?

If so, there does seem to be some problems with the system recognising people when they turn 18 even if they verify.

Go to https://support.secondlife.com/create-case/ and fill in one of the Tickets in Account Issues (there isn`t a specific one) just make it very clear in the text what the problem is.
