Free custom-made skin and shape?

Hi!

im new here and I wish someone make me a shape and skin based on a guy.And,since im new, I dont have any lindens,and I think that would help me get some jobs and stuff, its hard to get jobs with demo/crappy skins and shapes.If anyone that good at making them, and wanna help,I will send the photos of the person that I want my avatar based on.

Although making a shape is not hard making a skin is, and I doubt any skin maker is going to work for free. You are asking somebody to spend their time and hard work to make you a "custom" shape and skin for free, is going to be hard to get that but may happen. We all started out as noobs and had a choice, 1) Buy Lindens and buy a skin and shape or pay someone to make you one if you insist on custom. 2 ) Make your own, here are some links that offer free open source skin PSD templates you can use to make your own skin in Photoshop. http://www.vintfalken.com/new-second-life-skin-psd-files-from-eloh-eliot/ 3) Forget the custom part and make due with what is available to you for free.

and I tryed to edit some shapes that comes when we start,and I failed.

You want a good skin so you can earn some money, but you expect someone to spend hours of their life making you a skin and get nothing for it....Hmm good luck with that. :smileyindifferent:

There are lots of good free skins around if you look, buy a better one after you earn some money...I bet you wouldn`t opt for a custom made one if you had any idea how much RL money that would cost you. lol

making your own custom shape isn't too difficult take any modifiable shape edit it play around with the sliders till you get something you like the skin you won't get custom and for free no one in their right mind will spend hours and a chunk of L$ making a custom skin for no financial reward there are many skin stores on the grid you should be able to get a high quality free skin from a lucky chair/board Midnight Mania board prize giver etc or as a free gift offered by the store

Try searching around the forums for a good freebies list someone made a while ago. That will get you much farther than asking someone to spend their own time making you something for free. There's a reason skins in SL can cost upwards of $L1000 - they take a lot of time and effort to make! No one in their right mind will make you one for free.

There are some nice freebie skins and shapes out there. You'll find that many people on SL with good-looking avi's have made their own shapes by modifying, in some cases heavily, and over a long period of time, the default shapes, or freebie shapes. As someone said, look for a modifiable free shape that you're somewhat happy with, and go from there. Skins are harder, but you can freebie shop until you find one that you like. The marketplace is a great source for freebies of all kinds.

If you get a "decent" skin and can start earning $L in SL, you'll be able to upgrade later.

Hi, I can suggest to go around looking for freebies, hunts, group gift, often with quality free stuff used to advertise.

If you are too choosy and you want be unique, well... I don't want to appear rude,

but the idea to give away 2 months of work for a (decent) skin is not really funny,

also for the most generous person in the world. 

In SL, a skin is sold for 1% of price of the RL hours of work needed to create it. Indeed, this is a really general example,

but I wish you can get what I mean. And for a free custom skin/shape work? LOL

So please, I think anyone -with the luxury of a pc and an internet connection- can efford 5$.

And the point of anything in SL is: if you can't efford, you don't need. Good luck!

Go to the Fab Free blog, and go back a few pages. There is so much free for men reported in that blog. They recently had a ton of male skins on there too. You don't have to spend money to have a good Second Life; it's a choice.

I am going to add more male and female shapes soon as well as a few more character shapes as soon as I find enough time. I've been stockpiling free or cheap skins to work with.

You might not be able to find your perfect avatar for free but you can definitely end up with something very nice.

Well ummm, then go out aand buy some lindens, and if you can got to the local store and get a prepaid credit card and buy lindens with that. pl just doint give out quality for free
