To go inworld with your avatar, you need to download the Second LIfe application to your hard drive from here http://secondlife.com/support/downloads/ and then install it.
Once installed, open the application and input your chosen name and password into the blank fields. You can choose Basic or Advanced modes from the drop down menu. Basic is what it says, a cut down version of the viewer with limited options but will get you going with the basics until you become more proficient in getting around. Then choose Advanced for lots more options on what you can do. But if you wish, jump right in to Advanced. Click the login button to go inworld.
