Why is it taking me hours to receive my purchases from marketplace? I don't mean once in a while, i mean everytime i make a purchase, i have to wait forever to get it. it is my opinion that if if you can't do something right, don't do it at all. i know i am not the only one dealing with this, my point is we shouldn't have to. i am also sick of the callous and apathetic attitude with which complaints and suggestions are treated by Linden Labs and their staff. i would love to say i will boycott marketplace, but it would be pointless since no one else would join, and even if we did, i highly doubt they would care. just saying.

I would send a notecard and IM the owner, unless they have another policy in thier profile.

There might be a ticket you can file for it, or a bug report you can add our upset and disdain to.

I will mention that as  merchant on that site, I have heard of the new system they are working on to reduce the failure rate and eliminate the 'magic box' that people blame for this.

Even if they fix it there is only so much they can do. But, RAM can fail and networks have cross talk, collisions and so on. The amount of stuff that streams in SL is HUGE because everything you see is usually loaded across the net. But, there is a way to handle this! If the item was not a trans item and the owner has any customer support you simply ask them! They can see your order, if it got that far. They can easily just find your name and hit rediliver! I have done it and I try to check my list and contact people if the marketplaces system was able to detect a nondelivery. I even randomly used to check a bit back, I heard it was not as much of a problem...I think I will have to start randomly asking if they got their orders!

Thanks for mentioning this, I will keep an eye on my marketplace stuff and I hope others will try to do this, if they are able to.

Shopping in world is nice sometimes. I wish there was a "lag report" that is like a weather report lol. Then, you can check it and see "no deliveries. Failing Teleports and asset servers slow in x region with a grefier attack at y sim" and sort of just avoid the bad areas or skip logging in lol.

Did you check the delivery status for the items in your marketplace account?

I also think there is a 24 hour period in which purchases can be delivered. If everything points to the items having been delivered, but you didn't get them, then do what Poenald suggests - contact the merchant and ask nicely for a replacement.

I have found that if you are not logged on when you purchase on Marketplace and your IMs are capped, that even though you get notification that your purchase has been delivered, it hasnt been or has been deleted automatically. In that instance I have just IM'd supplier and they where only too pleased to redeliver.

I also wonder if you are waiting in laggy areas, because I have found this to make a huge difference in when items get delivered or if they get delivered at all! Now I do my marketplace shopping at my home location, which is pretty free of lag, and my stuff always shows up right away.

Hello. As already mentioned you must to wait 24 hours after your order and after that you can start to worry. Of course almost noone follows it and when you purchase something and pay for it, we "demand" to get it same time or at least with a small delay. Reading here for a long time so many problems with undelivered items, i feel lucky because although i use Marketplace very often i never had big delays (more than half an hour). Usually i get my purchases after 1-2 mins. I accept that it is an important problem especially if you see in your order history that the items delivered but still you haven't got them.
