One way is to post a note in the Inworld Employment forum describing what sort of performance you can do. That might get some nibbles. A better way is to make friends with a club owner or just find a friend who owns some land and is willing to take a chance on letting you perform. Word of mouth works well. Meanwhile, start lurking in the Art, Music & Photography forum to get a feel for what other artists are talking about, and try reading things to get some background about the technical side of things.
