Trying to Derender...but Pops right Back !

Hi...I am trying to Derender a light emitting object that sits legally in a 16sm parcel right smack in the middle of mine.

It derenders (via Firestorm & Phoenix) for a moment and then recreates itself in about a second or two.  Blacklisting also does not work.

Any ideas?

I am wondering if this falls into an AR.  The light emits everywhere and casts a color on everything for about 50 meters.

An AR for unfair use of region resources might work. The derender behavior points at a temp rezzer, so somebody is probably pulling too many resources out of the 16's 3 prim allowance. If this structure has advertising on it, you should check through the ad rules to see if it complies with those, and list where it does not in your AR.

No ad... It's a "server cluster".   The object has 3 scripts running inside.  This part of the mainland is littered with them on 16sqm / 3 prim parcels.

Can you build a wall around it, possibly making it emit light that is black?

After some back and forth with the object's owner, he was gracious enough to get rid of it.

But before, I did try placing megaprims around it and although it did block the "flame" the land and objects around still were in a cast.

PS...He told me it held spamming scripts.  And that is why they are around the mainland.

I'm curious about the derender and then the object re renders after a few seconds. I use derender a lot when I'm buiding. and I just noticed this phenomenon today. When did the functionality of derender go away?

Perhaps you are trying to derender a temporary rezzer.

I hope someone on this list knows how to derrender temp rezzers permanently.
