i can't move using the W,S,D,A keys, any idea how to fix?

Is your chat bar open?  If so, you will be typing the letters WASD instead of moving your avatar.  Personally, I always use the arrow keys for movement so that I don't have to keep opening and closing the chat bar.

i've been in SL for over 4 years, i know to check that first.

Its already marked. And still cannot move

Try left clicking somewhere inworld first, then try using the letters.

When you reinstalled the viewer, did you also clear the cache of the viewer? By manually emptying the cache folder?

You could also try to (re)move the content of this folder (not completely sure of the windows paths):

• Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\SecondLife\
• Windows 7 and Vista: C:\Users\Username\AppData\Roaming\SecondLife\
• Mac OSX: Users/Username/Library/Application Support/SecondLife/

This will require setting all the preferences in the viewer again.
