My charater sent 1200 lindens to another avi and it was sent to unknown..What can I do about it and

If the character you sent it to got it, problem solved. If not, figure out how you sent it to whom it got sent to, perhaps you clicked on the wrong thing by mistake.

i have experienced having paid "unknown", but the payment still reached the right resident. there was lag at the time of purchase and i was a wee bit hasty to press the buy/pay button. but there was nothing wrong with my transaction history so i know it arrived.

but it's a good rule to not press any buy/pay buttons until all necessary info has loaded. (and expect weird things to happen on laggy sims)
