d0ublE
When you first create an object, say a box for instance, how do you know which side of the box is the front side of the box?

Void Singer
created prims mostly start with the x axis facing east, the y north, and the z up. I so mostly because some prims rez with a default rotation (spheres are one), and is why I usually rez a box, then change the type manually. objects rezzed from inventory should have the rotation that they had when taken to inventory, and even if they are at zero rotation, they may be built to have a logical facing that is NOT east at zero rotation (for instance the rotation math of clocks makes them simpler to face west or south) as stated above you can see the axis facing by changing the ruler mode in the edit pane.
