Avatar Physic: What's breast cleavage?

I'm playing with the avatar physics a bit, these days.

How exactly would you define the parameter breast cleavage? Is it the movement of the breasts towards the cleavage?

Breast bounce is movement up and down.

Breast sway is movement from side to side.

Am I right about those?

Nothing like a real in-world test. :smileyhappy:

I set everything to zero except breast cleavage which i set to 100 max effect, 40 spring, and 40 gain. Every time I moved, it was like two hands clapping. lol So it is the movement towards the middle, the cleavage.

I did the same thing with breast sway, 100 effect, 40 spring, 40 gain. It is the side to side movement of the breasts. It's not a swinging motion, by the way, just a basic side to side effect, and the breasts move from side to side as a unit.

It's going to be hard to adjust these to get anything even near to realistic. I foresee hours of tweaking ahead.

I'd like to express a male opinion here.  But before I do let me state that I firmly believe it is "Your World, Your Imagination."  So I do not consider it my place to dictate what another person does.  Also, I know other men and or women may disagree with me.  This is just this one man's opinion.

I love breasts.  I love them in RL and I love them in SL.  When Emerald introduced breast physics I turned it on.  I thought it was very cool.  The breast motion was very nice, especially when bumping pixels.

But overall what I am seeing now is way too much motion.  Some of that may be people not knowing how to set the sliders.  Some of it may be intentional.  But in this breast lovers humble opinion, toward the subtle end is way more sexy.  Kind of like a woman's dress.  Should be long enough to cover the subject but short enough to keep it interesting.

Some of what I am seeing reminds me of Playboy's Little Annie Fannie.  It has really gone cartoon character.

Perhaps a thing to do is to ask a friend's opinion after you've done your settings.

Happy Jiggling

You're right, Perrie - There's way too much jiggle out there. :smileywink:

I'm going to blame the developers on this one, though. There are way too many parameters and ranges for the parameters. I've probably spent hours at this, and I probably finally have something that looks decent. Most people don't have or want to spend hours tweaking and playing with their physics.

The developers should've released a few samples to the general public, just like the do with avatars. (Did they and I missed them?) All the freebies I've seen, are too jigglely for most of us.

I also was having great difficulty in getting the physics the way I wanted them, especially with the butt (of all things). That is until someone turned me on to the Phoenix Team set. And yes, Pud's Subtle Bounce, with a little bit of tweaking on my part, was exactly what I was looking for. Big shoutout to them for making those physics layers available to the public for free!

And on an related note, although it's off-topic, I'm loving the new Firestorm beta viewer! Again, many thanks to all you good Phoenix people.

And just another reminder for people tweaking their settings... Anyone using the latest LL V2, Kirstens, and at least one other TPV which I can't remember will be seen with exaggerated physics movements when viewed by anyone using Phoenix, Ascent, or any TPV that isn't up to date with the newest tweaks that LL put in. Likewise, any of the Phoenix group users will be seen by the V2/Kirsten group users as having much less physics movements than they intended.

I've personally tested this using Kirstens S21(7a) / S21(8)RC1 & 2 against Phoenix 1102 and there is in fact about a 40% bloat to nearly all applicable settings when viewed through Phoenix. A mild 30 seen in V2/Kirstens equals roughly 60+ when those physics are viewed through Phoenix, which is a pretty large discrepancy. Something set to be noticible, realistic, and just right in Phoenix won't be seen at all, or is barely noticible when viewed through V2/Kirstens. The adjustment scale between the 2 groups of viewers is different... just so you know....

Don't you mean "it turned me on"? :matte-motes-wink:

/me chuckles.  that also.  but i think it was implied in my post.

I am also looking forward to the day men will no long need prim attachments to feel complete.  With the possibilities mesh will add, perhaps one day we will have a new avatar mesh where the male member will actually look and act naturally.
