Nostalgicfever
When I first log in, it says my computer doesn't meet the requirements. Then I try to log in, and it gets almost done with loading the place before it freezes. I've tried going to different places too, are there settings I can change for my computer? Thanks. LoveAngeL Lyre
Hello Nostalgicfever and welcome to SL Forums. It would be helpful to post here your system's specs. If you got the message that your computer doesn't meet SL's requirements, you haven't many options. However you can try under your preferences and graphics tab to set your performance to low and generally to disable everything you don't use, like voice for example. Nostalgicfever
Thanks (: I'm running Vista Home Basic on a Compaq Presario CQ50. The processor is Genuine Intel CPU, I have 2.00 GB RAM and it's a 32-bit operating system. I have turned off most features and made the detal as low as it can be, but it still crashed. LoveAngeL Lyre
Genuine Intel CPU ....@ (???). Slow internet connection is another cause for crashes. Wireless is no recommended for SL. Avoid to run other applications when you are in world.
Nostalgicfever
Oh ok, I've run it without any other apps going on and I use wireless, I guess I just can't play SI?
LoveAngeL Lyre
If is possible use direct cable connection. You can play but no without problems.
Teagan Tobias
The chance of you having the exact same problem is slim, but I thought I would at least put it out there for you. My PC was freezing up shortly after starting SL, all viewers, and the only thing that fixed it was replacing my mother board memory. The only reason I even replaced it was because my son had bought some memory that he did not use and it just happened that it was exactly what I needed. Memory is an easy replace and all my lockup problems went away.
