I can't raise my graphics beyond basic shaders without the screen going crazy. What can I do?

Hello Sen and welcome to SL Forums. If you can not enable these settings obviously means that your computer / laptop can not handle them. If you use the last drivers for your graphics card, for me you can do nothing.

Sounds like you know the answer already.  Use Low or Medium settings.  That's all your computer and its graphics card can handle.
