Oh, wow, thank you Charolotte. I guess I didn't notice this option earlier. I am only using a small12" (I think) monitor that is on the MacBook Air. I can't wait to get a solution to my problem. lol

I know, we all complain about how crazy these forum reply options are. Oh, well, I was going to suggest that you use SL on your main monitor, but that's not it

 

Is an air like a lite computer? It may be it's not powerful enough, but I am just guessing, I don't know anything about macs.

While we wait for others to answer you, what exactly is the problem now? You can now teleport without relogging, correct? The new issue, or rather, still unresolved one, is that neighbouring sims aren't visible? Or is it that not everything is coming into focus? If it is not being able to see neighbouring sims, you could try turning up your draw distance and see if that helps. If its stuff not rezzing, you could disable http textures.
