The textual nature of the majority of interactions allows for consideration and permanency of communication, and the public nature of many dialogues allows for humiliation of masochists to be pervasive in effect, enhancing the enjoyment by both conversing parties.

Personally, my all time remembered favourite is actually visual, rather than verbal (Pep's anvil falling on Sus in a dream sequence) but I am sure that among those who contribute to this forum there have been some devastating conversation killers.

ETA More seriously, it is my perception that most straight guys in SL could not care less about what their avatar looked like, preferring to rely on aggressive chat, if not persuasive conversation - until they find one of those interfering women who enjoy giving an indolent male a makeover, and are prepared to pay for it to have a trophy partner, albeit temporarily.

in rl im a male , and im not affraid to tell this , in fact this is in my profile as well.

the most hardest insult i ever had was in my own club , 2 guys came with some friends , guess they readed my profile , and started in my openchat and im to tell me i should die , and i dont deserve to live because im a male that haves a female avtar , they called me a f***g gay and everything bad u could say about people that are like me... i was verry offended by this. Secondlife is a way to express yourself , but not to go and discriminate other people .
