Dora Gustafson
With llTransferLindenDollars you have an option to verify the transfer With llGiveMoney you have not See this

Innula Zenovka
I've been trying to think when I might want to use it. I mean, the most common reason for llGiveMoney failing is if the money isn't there, and the most common use for llGiveMoney is to pay a percentage of something that's just been paid to the object (a tip jar or a commission vendor) so that's not normally an issue. I am sure there are times it will be really useful, but I can't think of one off-hand.
PeterCanessa Oh
"I bought xxxxx from you.", "Oh no you didn't, the money didn't get through" "I refunded you xxxxx and I can prove it", "Ahhh, I'll have to argue with LL instead" Personally I think being able to confirm inventory transfers will be more useful but I have no problem with L$ transfers as the first functionality

Yes, if I give a customer a refund or pay someone a commission on a sale, llTransferLindenDollars(destination, amount) will record the fate of the transaction, but how does it record anything about my customer's attempts to pay me? PeterCanessa Oh
Training for touch-typing focuses on hand-eye coordination and my brain is often not consulted. It is possible, however, that the comment refers to 'catalogue' vendors - where the customer owns the catalogue and it passes the money to you. If not, just make up your own rubbish to insert here, like I am.
